Sal
(Shorea robusta) is the dominated species associated
with mixed forest which includes Asna (Terminalia
alata), Simal (Bombax cerba) and Karma (Adina
cordifolia), Khair (Acacia catechu) and Sisoo
(Dalbergia sissoo) forest along river side.
The main grass species of the phantas are Imperata
cylindrical and Sachharum heteropogon which
are used for thatching. The open grassland,
interspersed with patcd of the forest and swampy
area covered with tall grasses make ideal habitat
for wildlife.
