Jungle Lagoon Safari Lodge is situated 90 miles south west of Kathmandu in the world famous Chitwan National Park (R. C. N. Park), established in 1973. One of Asia's richest and most spectacular wildlife sanctuaries. It is also a world heritage center. Which covers an area over 932 sq. km. Which shelters the endangered species like: wild elephant, Gharial Crocodiles, Royal Bengal Tiger, One Horned Rhinoceros, Gaur, Striped Hyena park also homes to leopard sloth Bear, wild boar, 4 different types of deer, two different types of Monkeys and many other small animals. There are over 450 species of birds in the park.

Accommodation at Jungle Lagoon Safari Lodge is in individual cottages with open veranda. All the rooms are well furnished with attached Bathrooms running hot & cold water. Dining hall & Bar is centrally located. Restaurant offers Nepalese, Chinese, Indian and Continental cuisine prepared by our trained cooks well stocked bar facilities are also available to our guest.

R. C. N. Park falls under sub-tropical type of climate: light cloths with neutral colors are recommended. November - early March morning and evening are cold and warm clothes are necessary. Guest are advised to bring a pair of Binoculars, insect repellent & lotions for out door activities.

Activities at the Jungle Lagoon Safari Lodge include Elephant safaris, Boat trips, Jungle treks, Bird watching excursions and Jungle drive by Land rover, Our experienced naturalist will introduce you to the pristine Jungle - array of flora and fauna in the Park.

ACCOMMODATION AT JUNGLE LAGOON SAFARI LODGE

Accommodation at Jungle is in an individual cottage with private veranda. From the bedroom window one can observe the natural beauty of Chitwan National Park.

Every room are attached bath running hot and cold water 24 hours a day and seven days in a week. The splendid garden with full of colourful flowers is just beside your bedroom.

The play ground is in front of the lodge for any sort of athletic games.

The restaurant is open all the time that serve delicious Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes. The bar supply wonderful local and international hard drinks from 05 PM to 10 PM but you can have beers and soft drink anytime.

WILDLIFE ACTIVITIES

A team of expert naturalist and guides, having wide experience of Chitwan Jungle flora fauna, will share their knowledge and guide you for your memorable experience at Chitwan National Park. The lodge offer following activities.

Elephant ride : One can monitor wildlife activities in the deep jungle while sitting back on an Elephant. The duration of the elephant back safari is about 1 hour but you can hire an Elephant as long as you wish in additional price. Elephant ride is the most pleasant activities in the park. You may not want to miss the opportunity to explore Elephant breeding center where number of elephants are kept for reproducing purpose only.

Bird watching : The Chitwan National Park is the realm of more than 450 species of birds. Most people consider it as a heaven of the bird world. The best way to explore and study the different bird's activities and behave is to walk with a guide along the riverside of Chitwan National Park. Jungle Lagoon's expert bird watcher will guide you to view the colourful birds early in the morning; simultaneously you can enjoy sunrise tour.

Jungle Drive : Jeep safari is a fastest way to discover the wide range of forest area in the Chitwan National Park. You will be in the dense forest after four hour's jeep drives which takes you about 50 kilometers inside the park, passing all sorts of vegetation and wildlife. As it is goes through the deep jungle and covers big area, the chances of discovering wildlife are high. Jeep safari is not only fastest way to discover wild activities but also it is safe. It is the very exciting programme. You will be drive towards the crocodile breeding farm while going through jungle drive.

Nature walk or jungle walks : Jungle Walk tour allows you to explore several different habitat areas, from the flood-plain grassland to the dense Sal forests, where you get the opportunity to encounter different animals sight at your own pace. Since it disturbs the animals, less to walk through the forest, it is usually a better chance for discovering wildlife. You may learn about different kind of plants and herbs in the National park that might be useful sometime. The guide can explain about the wild animals, birds, trees, herbs and even reptiles.

Dugout canoe ride : Floating down to Rapti River on a dugout canoe is the best way to discover the habitat of crocodiles in the river. It is also a relaxing and better way to watch the different kind of birds and wildlife species, while they are drinking water in the bank of river Rapti.

Tharu cultural dance : A melodious ethnic dance performed by men and women with rhyme or drums. The clashing of sticks represents and performance how to keep away the rhinos and other wild animals from the human habitat and their farming land. You can enjoy your evening after dinner and watch the Tharu Stick Dance. Jungle Lagoon will arrange dance for your enjoyment adjacent to their restaurant.

The Jungle Lagoon also can organize the Tharu village visit, trekking in Churiya hill, walking and camping in the Jungle, and more activities as you wish, with care and smile.
