century, we proud to present a new venture
The Rhino Residency Resort, an excititng
combination of luxury and wildlife adventure
in Chitwan National Park, which
will start its operation from the new
millenium (1st January 2000).
The RRR with its ideal location at
Sauraha, a minute's walk away from the
Chitwan National Park, can be
reached by four hours picturesque drive
from Kathmandu. The R.C.N.P. known the
over for being one of the most well-managed
parks in Asia, is home for more than
524 varied species of birds, the Great
Asian one-horned rhinoceros, the Royal
Bengal tiger, the leopard, the sloth
bear besides deer, monkeys, crocodiles
and other small mammals.
Our
resort offers you three guest blocks,
each comprising of 8 air-conditioned
and well-furnished rooms with attached
baths with 24 hours hot and cold water
supply. Each room has a verandah that
overlooks its own fishpond filled with
fishes native to Chitwan. Our restaurant
serves Indian, Chinese, Nepalese and
Continental cuisinte and our bar boasts
of the world's best beverages. In the
midst of the serenity of our beautifull
garden, lies a swimming pool surrounded
by thatched umbrella shades and hammock.

your beck and call, ever ready to offer
you the best in services and hospitality.
We offer you nature walks, briefing
about elephants, bathing with them and
elephant ride safari. Slide show presentations,
tharu cultural dance programmes, village
tours, jungle excursions, jungle drives,
Bird Watchingtours and other wildlife
related and cultural activities besides
the use of our other facilities like
our swimming pool, tennis court, library,
mini museum, conference room (for 60
people) and more.

ACCOMMODATION
The
main building of our Resort has a lounge,
reception, multipurpose room and souvenir
shop on the ground floor with a restaurant
and bar on the first floor. The restaurant
offers a bird's eye view of the national
park in the south and the Himalayas
in the north. It overlooks the swimming
pool and guest blocks, which are surrounded
by a peaceful garden.
There are three guest blocks, each with
eight twin rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned
and are furnished with attached bathrooms
with 24 hours hot and cold water supply.
Each room has its own verandah with fishpond,
containing fish native to Chitwan.
Our professionally landscaped gardens
have numerous umbrellas and hammocks for
outdoor relaxation. The multi purpose
room can be used for slide presentations,
billiards and indoor games as well as
being a mini museum and library. It is
also available for conferences and convention.
At the north end of the resort is a tennis
court and a children playground.
WILDLIFE ADVENTURE
Depending on your schedule and according
to the length of your stay, your programmers
will include : Elephant briefing and
safari slide show presentation, Tharu
cultural dance
programme, nature walk, dugout cannoe
ride, village tour, jungle drive and
excursion, visit to the Grarial ( fish
eating crocodile ) hatchery farm, elephant
breeding centre, twenty thousand lakes,
Churia hills trek and more.
Some of the animals you will see on your
elephant safari in the grasslands and
riverine forests are : the great Asiatic
one horned rhinocerous, four kinds of
deer, wild boar, two types of monkey,
other smaller mammals and a great variety
of birds. You might even see a leopard
and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger (
if you're lucky ). In the Sal forest,
there are high chances of seeing the
sloth bear, white stocking Gaur, wild
elephant and many other smaller mammals
and birds. On your canoe ride you will
be able to see two different species
of crocodiles, the Marsh Mugger and
the Gharial and also many varieties
of aquatic.
